Poland

On the 5th october I found out from our Computer Science teacher, who had found out from the Interneto a trip organized by the European Union for the pupils from the European countries' high-schools, between which was also Romania. Therefor I joined the list which was about to be sent at the specific address. In the next 5 days, I gathered all the documents needed for our departure which was closing quickly beacause we were all very excited to leave the country. On this trip we went 4 students from our high-school: Lazar Ioana (18 years old), Suciu Gabriela (17 years old), Suteu Virgiliu (17 years old) and me Munteanu Alexandra (17 years old), we were accompanied by our teacher Suciu Gheorghe, whom all the way was like a father to us and for whom I have a great respect because he earned it through some likely manners.

Saturday, 9th october at 3:00 a.m., we left Sebes on the Budapest - Trzemeszno (Poland) route, which we have changed on the way because we wanted to visit as many cities as possible and the time was enough because we needed to arrive at the destination on Monday 11th october. So, our teacher pleased us and we have seen different landscapes which were very beautifull considerring the fact that it was autumn and the forrests begun to change their green clothing into a multicoloured one.

After about 35 hours on the road we arrived at the destination, to Trzemeszno, which is situated in the NV of Warszawa, the capital of Poland, at the "Zespole Szkół Gimnazjum I Liceum" which's principal is Mr Włodzimierz Losik who accepted us gladly in the school that had become his second home. We were welcomed by Mr Maciej Adamski, the English teacher, who had announced us that we were the first ones to arrive and invited us in the high scool were the students of our age were waitting for us and with whom we bonded friendships very quickly because we had a lot of things in common, we decided where every one of us will stay and I had as a host a 16 year-old student named Carolina, with whom I got along very well. Our first day in Poland was fost de unable to be described in words, after we all went to our "homes" to change, we returned to the school where we met the other students and we went to visit the town which had impressed me because we had the most capable guids, teenagers of our age. The second day begun good because my friend gave me some wonderful news, that we were going to school to meet the other students that came to visit Poland, they were French, with whom we got close quickly, because they were like us, very opened, after all these we went to visit Poznań which was situated at 60 km far from Trzemeszno. Here we've seen "The White Lady's" Castle about which is said that it was hounted by her ghost, then we went in a market full of pidgeonsand in it's centre aws the city hall decorated in many artistic ways and which's tourist attraction were 2 goats that were fighting at midnight. The evening ended with the interpretation of "Orpheus and Euridice", which was played very good. On Wednesday we went to school where we had a conversation upon the following: "What's love in our country?", then we took part at an award festivity of the most dedicated employees of the high school after which the students presented us a part of the country's traditions, the folk dances specific. Our departure was approaching that's we took advantage fully of the day that was free for the Polish because Teacher's Day was aproaching, so we wnt to visit a neighbour town, the evening we've spent it with our friends, exchanging phone numbers and e-mail addresses so that we could keep in touch after we won't be together. The morning arrived and so did our departure which was from the high school that had been our second home during our stay in Poland, here we were waited by the pupils that wanted to say "Good bye!" and tell us that they will miss us.

For us it should have been our best day because we were going home, to Romania, to our families but it wasn't like that, it was a really sad day because we were leaving our "brothers". I won't be able to forget this trip because it had been a very pleasant experience in which I met new people, I've heard new concepts about life and the most important is that I would repeat this experience forever.
